This
August sees the Defected debut of the hugely
respected Eddie Amador, jetting in especially
from across the Atlantic. He is known as
pioneer of the underground house sound.
He is famed for his tracks 'House Music'
and later 'Rise' on the infamous Yoshitoshi
label. These mighty tracks are two of the
biggest seminal dancefloor stormers to ever
hit the worlds clubs and have left an imprint
on everyone that has ever danced to them.
Eddie recently produced a new track for
Defected under the guise of WaWa and Saturated
Soul, which will no doubt get maximum
rinsage on the MOS dancefloor.
Supporting Eddie is a former Defected resident
Seamus Haji who returns to the Ministry
for a second month running. Seamus' early
djing years saw a residency at The Satellite
Club in '94 and guest slots at nights such
as Ministry of Sound, Garage City, and Back
to Basics. He went on to become resident
at Laussane's D-Club, Pacha in Ibiza and
various clubs in the UK and has built a
formidable international reputation. He
has produced string of hits including a
remix of J Majik's "Love Is Not A Game",
a mix of Tweet's instant classic 'Boogie
Tonight' and "God's Child" under the his
Big Bang Theory moniker, which gained attention
from the likes of Danny Rampling, Pete Tong,
Judge Jules and Seb Fontaine. His smooth,
well-mixed grooves should go down a treat.
In The Bar you'll find.... Liquid People
They are the dastardly duo Dan Smith and
Conan Manchester, who bizarrely named themselves
after the soothing effect of heartburn remedy
Gaviscon. Also known as The Secret Souls,
they have produced a plethora of tracks
including 'Love Is the Answer' on Bob Sinclar's
Africanism label and Thelma Houston's 'Hold
Me So Tight'. These guys have a fantastic
style, taking in everything from disco through
to rock, from the old to the very new and
a lot of hip-hop attitude.
And while their set could contain virtually
anything, one thing is for certain -
these two talented DJ's will not fail to
entertain.
We also have Jeremy B boasts he's been at
the cutting edge of the dance music scene
for the last 15 years. His unique way of
blending funky house beats with smooth vocal
grooves ensured that Jeremy progressed quickly
through the ranks and in the last few years
his djing has taken him all over the world.
His production successes include massive
dance floor anthem 'Livin' On The Edge'
(Azuli). After which he was snapped up to
remix Top US R'n'B singer Donell Jones'
single 'You Know What's Up' which went straight
in at no.2 in the national charts. He has
since gone
on to remix, among others, Pink, Bryon Stingly,
David Morales,
Indo's 'R U Sleeping'and Gramma Funk's 'Sneaky
Armarda'.
Lastly but by no means leastly new kid on
the block Andy Daniel Joins us from a quick
break from his Ibiza Residency at Defected
In The House at El Divino. He informs me
that if your on the island this year then
you should look him up, He will be the one
standing with Sandy Rivera
, Junior Jack and Dimitri from Paris!
The pre-party will take place in Clapham's
ever popular trend-setting bar The Whitehouse.
Reduced entry with a flyer so keep your
eyes peeled...
See you at the party!
Much love from all the Defected Crew.
